I had a grand day out today. As part of my birthday celebrations I went to Go Ape down at Bedgebury with some friends before heading out for a Thai meal in Maidstone, watched the River Festival fireworks sitting in Ben Hawkins boat before heading to the Pig for a drink.

I have to say I was pretty pleased at getting three people actually to make it to Go Ape. I nearly thought there would be no one to go with but with three friends saying yes it was a fun event.

Mid way through the conference I’m attending and we had a dinner out this evening Magdelene College taking punts to get there. Quite surreal as I’ve never been to a dinner before which has been so fun to get to.
Spent today kyaking on the Norweigan Fjords. Clean blue water, clear sky, very little in the way of breeze. Great weather. Also took the opportunity to have take a swim in the sea. Don’t know if I’ll have another chance out here so best to make the best of the opportunity.
